A Decade of Editor’s Ink Excellence
By: Linda Orlando, February 25th, 2007
Ten years ago if someone had told me that on one rainy afternoon in February 2007 I’d be writing something for a blog, first I would have laughed, and then I would have asked what the heck a “blog” was. These days, with that word in the common vernacular of any regular Internet user, the people doing the laughing are bloggers themselves who have to explain the concept to others. My, how time flies.
Ten years ago when I first met Michael Wist and Matt Blevins, I already had more than a decade of professional writing and editing experience under my belt, and these two hot shots had a lot of business savvy and an entrepreneurial outlook on all things Internet-related that I found enormously intriguing. After I pestered Michael for a couple of months he finally gave me a project to do, maybe just so I’d leave him alone. But when he began to realize that my obsession with editorial perfection and customer satisfaction was just as strong as his, suddenly the planets aligned and the universe came together and we started talking about what we could do to develop Editor’s Ink into a formidable presence in the ever-expanding world of online editorial services providers.
Since that time our projects, clients, and services have continued to evolve and become more diverse and challenging. Our online presence has connected us with clients around the globe, and the Internet has given us access to a vast network of freelance writers and editors, from which we carefully select only the best. In a world where misspellings, bad grammar, and average writing have become acceptable to many people, Editor’s Ink holds fast to the notion that “acceptable” isn’t good enough. Effective communication can be achieved only through clarity, accuracy, attention to detail, and delivering a flawless final product. We are committed to guaranteeing perfection for our clients, and we accept nothing less from the writers and editors we work with.
The written word is mankind’s most powerful tool for communicating. Ten years ago we started Editor’s Ink with the goal of capturing that power and putting it to work for our clients. I’m proud to say that our success in meeting that goal is evident from our continually growing list of satisfied clients. And thanks to the top-notch writers and editors we work with, we hope to continue capturing that power for decades to come.
