On our blog, we at EI often write about topics related to blogging and WordPress, which we use to power our own blog. Blogging in general is a powerful tool for writers and website owners, while WordPress in particular is an excellent platform for managing a blog or an entire website. At the core of WordPress is the PHP/MySQL coding that make adding plugins and various features so simple for those employing this magnificent content management system. On the surface, the WordPress themes system represents that which the end user or reader will see.

Moving forward, we will be releasing a series of free WordPress themes as well as general website templates, available for download in .zip format and released under GPL: http://www.opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php.
